In his book "the law of success" Napoleon Hill taught about the power of autosuggestion used accurately is for the good of mankind . In NLP i have yet to find any mention of it Has auto suggestion become outdated because Nlp is superior in producing results. Thank- you for taking this question vince |

Dear Vince, remember that NLP is a process of modelling so it is about studying and finding out what makes a difference especially those parts of what we do that are unconscious. That said John Grinder and Richard Bandler started their work in NLP with studies of outstanding psychotherapists including Fritz Perls and Milton Erickson both of whom were skilled in autosuggestion. So when Richard and John published their work and their findings with NLP this included a great deal on autosuggestion. Have you read any of the early NLP books such as the Structure of Magic or Frogs into Princes - you will certainly learn about autosuggestion there and I have a chapter in my book NLP at Work on Hypnotic Language and this is included there too.
