I got into work on Monday and was asked to do 2 presentations at our team away day (only one of which I'd seen before). I decided to try out ”self-consciousness is self-indulgence“ and used a really playful presentation style, full of fun. I took a few risks, used audio, visual and kinaesthetic styles and even anchored some spaces in the room!

The feedback (totally unsought) was amazing – I knew I'd done a fab job and really relished other people's enjoyment of it without feeling I needed the feedback at all.

I also started sharing with people what I most value about them which was extremely enjoyable and led to even more unsought positive feedback. It reminds me of the beachball on the sea – unobtainable while you are chasing it but easy to get once you stop.

I went for a walk in the Devon countryside at the weekend. There were all manner of dogs running round. No need for the special strategy and pleasantly free from fear now that I know I've got it up my sleeve!

Billy especially will be delighted to hear that I haven't stayed at work beyond 6pm this week. I even arranged a walk on Wimbledon Common with Chris on Thursday evening as the weather was so lovely. I was even early to meet him.
