Trainer Training

My objectives in attending

My objectives for attending were to be the best I could be, to overcome my nerves when presenting or singing to large groups of people and also to gain my NLP trainers training qualification. I would say all my objectives were met.

How would you rate the programme?

The programme was completely brilliant! The group was wonderful to work with and Sue is so skilled at bringing out what needs to come to the surface. Each of the days was utilised to maximum affect which is such a talent as it never felt like hard work. The days flew by. I really wanted to stay longer as I feel I have so much more to learn. The programme was flexible and allowed the group to go where they needed to go rather than were the curriculum said we should go. I think this really maximised the learning.

The way Sue ran the programme

It was phenomenal! Sue is the programme and no one could run it like she does. The facilitative style really suited me and helped me get the best from the programme. Sue is warm and caring and gives you exactly what you need, even if you don't know you needed it. Sue was always happy and smiling and clearly really enjoyed working with us. When there were upsets in the group, Sue always dealt with this in a nurturing way, allowing each person to hold their own space and do what they needed to do. With me, Sue was extremely supportive and provided lots of opportunities for personal growth. She was wonderful and challenging, knowledgeable and eager to learn from the group. Nothing is too much trouble and she is an inspiration to me. I would love to keep working with her as for me she is an exemplar.

Colin

Colin was wonderful. I travelled in the car with Colin from the airport and he chatted away to Gail and I like we had known each other for years already. He made me feel very relaxed and safe about being on the programme.

It was so comforting seeing Colin pottering about in the kitchen whilst we were working. I spent quite a bit of time just watching him work while I was listening to the group or Sue talk. Whenever he was asked to comment on an exercise, he was candid, astute in his observations and thought provoking. My experience of being with him during this week is that he tells you what you need to hear, what is useful for your development rather than telling you what you want to hear.

With the food, where do I start? The food was wonderful, tasty and I'm not sure you could get any fresher. I'm not sure what the course would be like without Colin being there and without the food. Having the ritual of eating together really brought the group together I felt and made us feel even more at home.

Whenever I spoke to Colin, he was happy to talk to me about the cooking preparation and cooking even though he must have answered the questions many times before. He always seemed interested in what I had to say about the food he had prepared and I really enjoyed the banter about the taste and what he was cooking next.

Colin - I am a fan!!!

Our organisation

The organisation was very good. I liked the e-mail briefings that told me about where to stay, what the arrangements were for collection, how the week would run and so forth. It was efficient and clearly written.

The venue was beautiful. It was clear and white and very easy to work in. I loved the venue.

Where I stayed

La Porte Rouge…

It was wonderful. David and Elaine were welcoming and warm. Nothing was too much trouble and they catered the menu very much to our tastes. The rooms were beautifully presented, clean and tidy. The pool was fab! I would absolutely stay there again and recommend it to others.
