People often ask me how did I come to work with Sue and my first thought is, by default really. Two things converged; one I was on my way back from a meeting, driving by Bix Manor and I thought to myself ‘that looks like a gorgeous building, I I’d love to work in there, and in the same week I read my first article by Sue, on her experience of India, and I thought to myself ‘I really like the way that that woman writes’ so I looked her up on the internet and, lo and behold, I saw she ran courses at Bix Manor!

In my own life I frequently feel nudged by the Universe. And I usually stop and listen. So I got up early the next morning and dropped Sue a note asking her if she would like some help in her business; I had some spare capacity and I love project work. She replied no, not at the moment, but thank you. I thought ‘that’s ok, she doesn’t realise she needs me yet..I’ll file her away and contact her again in a year’s time’, and got on with other interesting projects in hand (I was about to help someone set up a new recruitment company). Then, a couple of months later I got this very interesting Flyer from Pat telling me about the Alumni in June. When I saw all the interesting things Sue was offering I thought…ok, that’s it….with all that going on she’s definitely going to need another pair of hands this time….. and indeed she did! And that’s how I came to work with Sue.

I combine my work with Sue with helping people find work that is personally rewarding for them. Not just a job, rather I help my clients clarify what ‘interesting things’ they like to do…work that is well suited to their particular temperament. Rather like how I orchestrated my own career for example…. I help Sue with her very interesting work, I coach people to find work they love, and I am a facilitator of The Work of Byron Katie…these are my own top three ‘interesting things to do’, and they are all project based, a way of working that suits my own particular temperament! I’m glad I heeded that nudge!
